BDRC on completion of the offer will begin establishing the team of horses targeting many of the BIG million and multimillion-dollar races on offer in NZ and Australia. The stakes money in both NZ and Australia is rising to eye-watering levels and BDRC will target these ‘big dances’ where possible. To put that in perspective there are close to 100, AU$1,000,000 plus races in Australia, with the Everest carrying a $20,000,000 prize pool. Many of these races are sale-related giving buyers even more opportunity for return. For example, Horses purchased at Magic Millions are eligible for a $14.25 million raceday in 2024 and a $20 million raceday in 2025. Horses have these opportunities for the duration of their careers (races programmed for 2YOs, 3YO’s & Up from 900m-2200m). Inglis, the other major horse trader in Australia engages in similar stake incentive activity. In addition, the return on investment within New Zealand has made great inroads in the past year and is spearheaded by Karaka Million Day. New Zealand Bloodstock and the industry offer three races for $1,000,000 or more and is followed by a fantastic week of selling yearlings. BDRC hopes to feature prominently in both areas in the years to come. In addition, NZTR has added the $4 million Kiwi that has $1 million in bonus lead-up races and a Maiden series of $1 million across 40 races. This is set to continue for many years.

When horses are purchased in Australia, BDRC will evaluate entering horses in NZB Sales, including digital, to buy back. This allows the horse to qualify for all the bonus races, including Karaka Millions and Maiden Scheme.
